Residents of South Lakeland have experienced wintery scenes today as snow has fallen throughout the district.
The Lakeland Fells were dusted white and Ambleside, Grasmere and Ings Village have all experienced snowfall.
Kendal did have a light brushing of snow but persistent rainfall has cleared this.
There have been some problems on the roads but currently only the A6 near Shap has been reported as closed.
Motorists are being advised to take extra care and time with their journeys as temperatures are starting to fall and causing icy conditions on the roads.
Police are encouraging people to take their time travelling home, be aware of the potential sudden change in road conditions due to icy and maintain a good braking distance from the car in front.
