RESIDENTS in Ambleside can see the latest information on the University of Cumbria's plan to reopen its campus in the town, in a public exhibition today and tomorrow.

The draft plans are on display at the Low Nook building on the campus, off Rydal Road, today until 6pm, and tomorrow (December 15) from 10am to 1pm.

Representatives from the university and its design team, as well as officers of the Lake District National Park Authority will be available to answer any questions and talk through the planning application and exhibition boards.

After feedback from residents during the last round of consultations, plans for a student accommodation block to be built on the site have been removed for the time being. A spokesman for the university said it will be looked at again in the spring.

Comments can be made on the proposals by completing an application form available at the exhibition, or online at www.cumbria.ac.uk

All comments must be received by midnight on Sunday, January 6.
