A MAN found dead in a swollen beck in Ulverston has been named as 23-year-old Aaran Sedgwick.

Mr Sedgwick, who lived at an address in Beech Drive in the town, was found close to a wooded area near Rake Lane at around 5.15pm on Saturday (December 15).

Police, Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service attended the scene.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: "Mr Sedgwick’s family has been informed and are being supported at this difficult time.

"There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death at this time and the case will be passed to the coroner."

Police are asking for anyone who may be able to assist them with their inquiries to call PC Steve Johnston at Ulverston Police Station on 101.
