Car and bin lorry in Lakes collision

TWO drivers were injured when a car and lorry collided in Rydal Road, Ambleside, earlier today.
Traffic backed up in both directions following the incident involving a small hatchback and a refuse lorry shortly before 10am.
Emergency services, including firefighters, attended the scene.
The driver of the car, a woman, and the lorry driver were treated by paramedics and taken to hospital in separate ambulances.
