A WOMAN pictured on CCTV in an Ulverston charity shop has been urged to contact police who are investigating an allegation of shoplifting.

Officers said clothing was taken from the Animal Welfare store on Upper Brook Street and believe the person pictured may have information that could help their inquiries.

It is believed that a woman aged in her 40s or 50s with just-past shoulder length dark hair and a fringe took items from the shop.

She was wearing a large grey, black and white coat and was carrying a large shoulder bag and was seen in the store at around the time the offence took place - around 3.25pm on November 8.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “If this is you, or if you think you know who this could be, please contact PC Michelle Milburn on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.”
