POLICE are appealing for information after a fail-to-stop collision between Kirkby Stephen and Tebay.
The incident took place at around 8.49am this morning, when a dark green car, possibly a Toyota, failed to stop after colliding with a Ford Focus on the A685.
The cars were travelling in the direction of Tebay.
The driver who reported the incident said he had agreed to pull into a layby further up the road to swap details with the other driver involved.
But the second driver did not stop.
Now police are urging anybody with information to contact them on 101.
