MORE than 800 properties in Kendal were left without electricity this afternoon after another power cut in the town.

Electricity North West said damage to an overhead line at around 2.05pm caused power to be lost to 843 customers.

Engineers located the fault and reconnected 770 homes and businesses by 3.03pm.

The remaining 73 customers should have electricity restored by 6.30pm, a spokeswoman said.

Today's outage is the latest in a string of power cuts in the Kendal area in recent weeks.
