CUMBRIA Police are investigating a suspicious incident after a group of young children reported that two males had approached them in a van in Barrow.
The incident happened between 5.30pm and 6pm yesterday (Thursday) near to The Mall in the town centre.
Police said the van was a blue Mercedes vehicle with partial registration F7.
The men are alleged to have told the group of four children – an 11-year-old local girl and three male friends - that they were rich and then asked if they wanted to look in the van but the children ran off.
A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: "Inquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident.
"If you were one of these males or if you have information that can help police, please contact Barrow police station by dialling 101."
