Police urge yobs to stop causing damage, after spate of vandalism in Flookburgh

POLICE are urging vandals to stop causing damage, after nine cars have been targeted in less than a month.

The vehicles have all been damaged in Ravenstown and Flookburgh since the beginning of January, with wing mirrors and windscreen wipers pulled off and bodywork keyed and scratched.

Officers believe the incidents may be linked to anti-social behaviour which has been reported in the Fairfield area of Flookburgh.

A spokesman for Cumbria Police said: “Police would like the perpetrators to consider the effects of their actions which have caused untold misery and a cost to the local community.”

Anybody with information about the incident is asked to contact PC Helen Nixon from Ulverston police station on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
