Weather alert for strong winds issued for Cumbria

STRONG winds are set to make it a blustery day in Cumbria.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for much of northern England.
The alert, which warns of possible disruption for drivers of high-sided vehicles, is valid until 6pm today.
Winds will increase through today to become very gusty, particularly near heavy showers, the Met Office said.
