Police formally identify man found dead in the Walney Channel

THE man who was found dead in the Walney Channel earlier this week has been formally identified as local man, Terence Anderson.
Mr Anderson, 61, who was known as Terry, was from Lime Street, Barrow.
He was found dead in the channel near the back of the Kimberley Clark factory on Tuesday.
He was located after concerns were raised for his welfare and a search was mounted.
Police are not treating his death as suspicious at this time.
His family has been informed and the case will be passed to the coroner.
