A DELIGHTED Kylie Holywell from Millom was the winner of a designer wedding ring in a competition run by The Westmorland Gazette’s sister publication The Good Wedding Guide.
Tony Clare and Fenella Macmillan of Macmillan-Claire Designer Goldsmiths provided a prize of a bespoke wedding band worth £600.
Miss Holywell, 24, said: “It was brilliant to win the competition and then to go through the design stages with Tony and Fenella, who were really helpful, and it looks lovely.”
Macmillan-Clare, who are based at Greenlands Farm Village near Carnforth, created a silver mock-up of the ring for Kylie to try on, and to show her husband-to-be.
The finished band was made from 18 carat white gold set with five 1.5 carat diamonds and five 1 carat diamonds.
Teacher Kylie is looking forward to marrying fire-fighter, Daniel Redhead, at St Luke’s Church in Haverigg in August.
