Holme man passes out as a Royal Marine

JAMIE Clowes, 20, of Holme, passed out as a Royal Marine with 147 Troop, and was awarded the coveted green beret.
Jamie, who attended Queen Elizabeth School, Kirkby Lonsdale, before studying for the Public Services Diploma at Kendal College, successfully completed 32 weeks of military training.
He passed out at the Royal Marine Commando Training Centre in Lympstone, Devon, and will be joining 43 Unit in Scotland.
Jamie has always loved the outdoors, especially mountain biking and camping in extreme conditions, and was a member of 1st Holme Scouts.
