Cumbrian youngsters to grill county's public figures at Rheged Question Time event

CUMBRIAN youngsters will grill the county’s top politicians and business leaders at a Question Time-style event.
A panel of influential public figures will have questions fired at them by a live audience of 13 to 25-year-olds at Penrith’s Rheged Centre on March 2.
The Young People’s Question Time has been organised by Young Cumbria, a charity that aims to create positive and lasting change in the lives of young people in the county.
The panel includes Cumbria County Council leader Eddie Martin, Furness MP John Woodcock, South Lakeland councillor Pru Jupe, Bernard Lawson - the temporary chief constable for Cumbria - and Cumbria Chamber of Commerce chief executive Rob Johnston.
The event will be chaired by ITV Border journalist Sam Parker and will include a separate ‘surgery hour’ when youngsters can sit around a table and discuss issues with members of the panel.
