POLICE are appealing for information - and urging locals to be on the look-out - after a six-foot tall wooden giraffe was stolen from a Bolton-le-Sands home.
It is thought the item was stolen, along with old joinery hand tools, a gold framed mirror, a chest of drawers and several paperweights, between Sunday, February 3, and Wednesday, February 13, from a house on Slyne Road.
PC Mike O’Regan said: “There were some unusual items stolen from the house, perhaps most notably a six foot tall wooden giraffe.
“We have a picture of this and some of the items which were taken.
"If anybody has any information about this burglary or knows where the property has ended up then I would urge them to contact us.”
Anybody with information is asked to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111. Crimestoppers can also be reached online at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.
