Hungry? Then get yourself to Kendal Food Festival

Kendal town centre is already bustling as dozens flock to the town's annual food festival.

With new organisers the event is set to be better than ever, and judging by the early turnout, it looks like its heading for great success.

From bread to fudge to sausages to coffee there is something for everyone to fill up on, and plenty for children.

In Elephant Yard young ones can decorate their own cupcake and have their face painted, before making their way to the Bird Cage where there is a range of farm animals.

A number of food demos, including from Castle Diary chef Robert Stacey and Lakeland's Steven Doherty will take place at Kendal College, Kendal Town Hall and the Shakespeare Centre.

Head to the Town Hall for tickets.
