Thounsands of pounds worth of equipment stolen as thieves target cars parked in Ambleside

TWO cars at White Moss car park in Ambleside were targeted by thieves yesterday.

Police are investigating the theft of £4,000 worth of camera equipment from a grey Honda CVR, as well as a handbag and a small amount of cash.

They were taken between 4.45pm and 5.30pm.

On the same day a handbag and its contents were also stolen from a Toyota Corolla between 3.30pm and 7.30pm.

Anyone with information should contact police on 101.

How many times are people warned of this kind of theft yet still leave valuables on show.

Last I saw, it was still very close to Grasmere!
