SOUTH Lakeland District Council wants residents to help shape future decisions.

The authority wants to hear from people who have an issue they think it needs to review.

Suggestions will then be looked at and could be examined by the council’s various Overview and Scrutiny’s Committees, which examines policies and services.

Group chair Coun Andy Shine said: “We are looking forward to tackling a new agenda and are encouraging members of the public to highlight an issue or a topic that they think we should be looking at.

“I am sure there are lots of issues that the public are keen for us to look at and discuss and we want to know what they are.

“We shall be finalising the new programme shortly and we hope the O and S Committee can challenge so as to seek improvements and make sure the council is providing value for money services that benefit the community.”

Suggestions can be emailed to scrutiny@southlakeland.gov.uk or posted to Scrutiny Section, SLDC, Lowther Street, Kendal, LA9 4UQ.
