A66 westbound closed near Appleby for repairs tonight

THE westbound A66 at Appleby will be closed from 8pm tonight (Friday) for repairs to the carriageway following a vehicle fire.
The road will re-open by 4am tomorrow (Saturday). Traffic will diverted off the A66 at Coupland Beck onto the B6542 and through Appleby, rejoining the A66 north of the town centre.
