THE Great North Air Ambulance flew a walker to hospital after she fell and broke her ankle on Arnside Knott.
Kendal Mountain Rescue Team and North West Ambulance Service also attended at about 1.10pm today.
The helicopter was called in as paramedics could not reach the injured woman, thought to be aged in her fifties and from the Garstang area.
An aircrew doctor treated her at the scene before she was carried into the Pride of Cumbria air ambulance and airlifted to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary.
