CUMBRIA's air ambulance flew a critically-ill Eden man to hospital this morning.
The Pride of Cumbria aircraft, operated by the Great North Air Ambulance, was called to an address at Winton, near Kirkby Stephen, where a man in his 20s had been taken ill at home.
After treatment at the scene, he was airlifted to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough for specialist treatment at around 9.30am.
He is said to be fighting for his life.
