A MAN escaped with just minor injuries after his paraglider crashed in Eden.
The Great North Air Ambulance was scrambled to Mosedale, near Penrith, at 3.15pm on Sunday, along with members of Keswick Mountain Rescue Team.
They found the 56-year-old, from Otley, Leeds, had suffered back injuries.
Mountain rescuers and a doctor treated him at the scene, before he was airlifted to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
His injuries were described as ‘non life-threatening’.
