KENDAL Classic Motorcycle club hosted its annual nostalgia trial and scramble over the weekend.
The trial saw more than 120 competitors tackling the course on bikes including Triumph Cubs, Greeves and BSAs.
Milnthorpe’s Nick Shield, Carnforth’s Neil Buckley and Ronnie Looker, and a whole host of riders from Kendal, did battle with riders from all over the country, including former World Trials Champion Yrjo Vesterinen on his Bultaco.
The Nostalgia Scramble kicked off at Holme Farm on Sunday with guest of honour being former British MX Champion Peter Mathia. Also on the entry list was former World MX Champion Graham Noyce from Hampshire.
Taking part were the Barnes clan from Heversham, the Dents from Kendal, Ian Stainton and Steve Ward from Bolton-le-Sands.
Machines ranged from pre-1960 through to the more ‘modern’ 1981 twinshock models.
