Wind turbine event for landowners to be held next week
10:30am Wednesday 11th September 2013 in News
FARMERS and landowners are being invited to a wind farm event in Penrith next week.
Ogden Renewable Energy based in Yorkshire says it is looking to develop 'small one off wind farm sites' in Cumbria.
PFK Land Agency are hosting a free drop-in session at Penrith Auction Mart in conjunction with Ogden Energy on Tuesday September 24, Janet Flintoft, of PFK Land Agency said: “Ogden will simply lease your land and you receive a rental income on an annual basis for 25 years.
"Ogden will pay for the entire project, taking it through planning, construction and operation so therefore land owners will not have the risk or the expense of the project.”
Ogden says in order for a site to be a possible candidate for a wind turbine the site must be windy, not have neighbouring dwellings less than 500 metres away, have an electricity line nearby and not be within an environmental designation.
The event starts from 9am and attendees must take along a farm plan.
Anyone interested should contact Janet Flintoft at PFK Land Agency on 01768 866611.
