3:00pm Sunday 13th October 2013 in News
THE final part of a £270,000 refit has been opened for use for Kirkbie Kendal School students.
The sixth form project room, designed by students, is a new space within the structure of the original school hall and above the new dance studio.
It provides space and facilities for students to discuss and collaborate on projects and also to work individually.
Head of sixth form Sarah Timms said: "The room has been very well used by both Year 13 and our new Year 12 students and I am sure that it will help to create more independent students that will help to enhance their subjects and ultimately their A-Level grades.”
Caron McKane, year 13, said the new room is ‘fantastic’ while year 12 student Josh Robb said it created a ‘good working atmosphere’.
