M6 work to go on until 2014
4:29pm Tuesday 29th October 2013 in News
DRIVERS who use the M6 through Cumbria are advised that roadworks in place for a major refurbishment of Tebay Bridge are likely to remain until the end of March next year.
Work on the £2.6m project along the southbound carriageway, just south of junction 38, was due to be completed by December. But work has revealed that more extensive repairs are required.
Mark Mosley for the Highways Agency, said: “It is not always possible to predict the extent of repairs until after work has started – and this has unfortunately been the case here.”
