Injured man evacuated by air from Stickle Tarn

MOUNTAIN rescuers and an air ambulance were called after a 39-year-old man suffered a leg injury while walking in the Langdales yesterday (Friday) morning.
The man, from Surrey, was located in the Bright Beck area near Stickle Tarn and treated at the scene by members of the Ambleside and Langdale Mountain Rescue Team, assisted by Kendal MRT, before being flown by Great North Air Ambulance to a land ambulance in the valley.
