Pensioner seriously injured in A684 collision near Lambrigg

A 70-YEAR-OLD man was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after what police describe as a 'one-vehicle collision' on the A684 Kendal to Sedbergh road earlier today.
The man, who is from the Lancaster area, was driving a Ford Fiesta when it left the road near Lambrigg.
He was flown to Royal Preston Hospital where his condition was said to be serious but stable.
Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should contact Pc 1618 Mark Holmes on non-emergency number 101.
