A KIRKBY Lonsdale caravan park has won another award to add to its bulging trophy cabinet.
Woodclose Park has been named AA Campsite of the Year 2014 winner for North West England.
Managed by Steven and Michelle McAvoy, the park is one of the most successful in the country – it has been the Enjoy England Gold Award winner in 2011, Cumbria Tourism’s Holiday Park of the Year 2012 and a Bronze Award winner in the Visit Britain Awards for 2013.
Woodclose has the David Bellamy Gold Award and a five star, four Pennant AA rating and boasts facilities for both temporary campers and caravanners and those who linger longer in lodge homes.
Mr McAvoy said: “Every award delights us because it proves we are maintaining our high standards and being recognised for the hard work we put in.”
