ONE lane of the M6 is closed and traffic is moving slowly due to an accident on the southbound carriageway.
The accident occurred between junction 36, for Kirkby Lonsdale and the A590, and junction 35 for the A601 at Carnforth.
It is believed a vehicle may have overturned although Cumbria police are unable to confirm any further details at this time.
