A KENDAL man is appealing for old mobile phones which can be exchanged for iPads by autism charity Hearts & Minds.

David Meehan, whose son has autism, said: “iPads are a brilliant learning tool for autistic children but the expense is a big stumbling block.”

Donated phones must be less than 10 years old with a colour screen and in a good standard of repair. Donations can be made at the collection point at Zax Hairdressers, Allhallows Lane, or by contacting david.meehan@live.co.uk.
