BOOKWORMS from a Kendal primary school are celebrating after coming runners-up in a national competition.
Year Six pupils from Castle Park entered the Business School competition run by Scholastic Book Fairs last year.
The children had to organise the school’s annual book fair and covered areas such as customer service, accounts, display and PR. However, in order for them to run it, they first had to formally apply for the jobs by persuasive letter.
Chosen pupils then organised and ran the five-day fair and raised money for the school.
