A DISUSED Ulverston farm building is to be turned into an agricultural worker’s house after planning permission was granted by South Lakeland District Council.
The stone building, part of a working farm off Green Lane, Pennington, will be turned into a three-bedroomed home despite the planning committee being advised to refuse permission on the grounds it would be an ‘unjustified’ development.
The council also received an objection from a neighbour, who said the house could affect bats.
Councillors they said it would be better for the building to be used than stand empty.
