Young climbers given a push with funding aid
9:00pm Friday 6th December 2013 in News
THE Lakeland Climbing Centre in Kendal can now offer subsidised climbing instruction courses to young people.
It follows the receipt of Olympic legacy funding from Sport England which is designed to get more young people involved in sport.
Sportivate climbing courses at Kendal Wall are aimed at people between 11 and 24.
The course includes registration for part one of the National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme and aims to offer a basic bouldering induction and top-roped climbing training delivered by experienced instructors.
