A WINDERMERE man has appeared before a judge accused of raping a 21-year-old woman in Kendal.
Jake Sanders, 20, from Victoria Road North, Windermere, was charged after an alleged incident in the early hours of the morning on Sunday November 3.
At a preliminary hearing before Judge Paul Batty QC at Carlisle Crown Court on Monday Sanders spoke only to confirm his name.
He will not be asked to enter a plea before he returns for a plea and case management hearing on February 14. In the meantime he was remanded in custody.
