THE annual South Lakeland farmers’ carol concert, held last night at J36 Rural Auction Centre, Crooklands, raised more than £1,000 for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution.
The event, organised by the local NFU branch and attended by more than 400 people, was led by Rev’d David Whitehead of the Kirkby Lonsdale Rainbow Parish.
A blessing was given by the Bishop of Carlisle, the Right Rev James Newcome. Music was provided by Kirkby Lonsdale Brass Band.
