THE community of Milnthorpe stage a get together this weekend.
Milnthorpe Christmas on the Green will be held on Saturday December 14.
A Santa's Grotto will be on the green outside St Thomas' Church and Father Christmas will be seeing children between 2.30pm and 4.30pm and then from 5.15pm-6.30pm.
During that time, solicitors from Kendal's Milne Moser will be selling raffle tickets for donationS to the Great North Air Ambulance charity.
All prizes have been donated from local businesses including many in Milnthorpe. Organisers thanked Houghtons, Booths, Number 17, Mirror Mirror, The Quilted Sheep, Clocktower Electrics, KTD and Plain Creative.
There will be the traditional lantern procession by the children and then a fancy dress competition with the winners being chosed by this years compere, Lakes MP Tim Farron.
The performances will be at 5pm and will feature Joeys, the choir from Milnthorpe Primary, Ridney Bank ballet school, local musician Steve Lashley and a Christmas set from Quay Change.
Refreshments will be available and Milnthorpe Primary will also be selling cakes.
