SOUTH Lakes MP Tim Farron has asked Transport ministers to put pressure on bus operators to raise the upper age limit on children’s fares from 16 to 18.
Mr Farron believes it would make a big difference to the cost of travel for sixth form and college students and has written to Baroness Susan Kramer, Minister of State at the Department for Transport, asking her to step in and send guidance to all councils and bus operators on the issue
