CHILDREN from an Ulverston primary school have given a Lake District hotel a festive boost.
Ten lucky children from Croftlands Infant School were chosen through a drawing competition to decorate the Christmas trees at The Lakeside Hotel near Newby Bridge.
The children were treated to a special festive lunch before being set loose on the Lakeside’s prestigious trees. Jennifer Armstrong, who ran the competition for the hotel, said: “We thought it would be a lovely idea to invite local children to decorate our trees and, as I have links with Croftlands School, it was a natural choice.”
