FESTIVE folk in Milnthorpe braved Saturday’s downpours to attend the annual Christmas on the Green family event.
Father Christmas handed out gifts from his grotto throughout the afternoon, followed by the traditional lantern procession and a fancy dress competition judged by this year’s compère – Westmorland and Lonsdale MP Tim Farron.
Solicitors from Milne Moser raised £366 for the Great North Air Ambulance charity by selling raffle tickets, with prizes donated by local businesses.
Visitors also enjoyed performances from Milnthorpe Primary School’s choir, Rigney Bank Ballet School, singer Steve Lashley and Quay Change.
