A MAN has been arrested after a burglary near Milnthorpe.
Detectives are currently investigating the incident which occurred at a property in Ackenthwaite between 9am and 1pm yesterday (Tuesday).
The 48-year-old from Lancaster is helping with police enquiries.
Police said various items were stolen totalling over £5,000 worth of belongings.
A white transit van, with red lettering relating to pest control was seen in the area and police are appealing for anyone who saw the van to come forward.
Detective Inspector Amanda Sadler said: “We appeal for anyone to who saw this van in Ackenthwaite to come forward, not just those who may have seen it on the morning, but potential over the previous days.
“The van is described as a white transit style, with red writing that advertised pest control.”
Anyone with information is asked to call Cumbria Police on 101 and ask to speak to DC Jamie Eaton.
