THE Wurlitzer Organ at the Royalty Cinema in Bowness will be put through its paces next week with a special Christmas Extravaganza of festive music.
Five organists will take to the console to play a selection of Carols and Christmas songs. Those taking part include well known local musicians Paul Gregson, Mark Latimer and Ian Midgley, as well as Wigan's Alan Atherton and youngster Declan Poole, from Millom, who will play a cameo spot in the concert.
"It's a delight to be able to present Declan at this concert", says Furness Theatre Organ Project Chairman, Mark Latimer, "I know he has been practising hard in readiness for the concert and were all looking forward to his concert debut at the Royalty."
A short silent film with organ accompaniment will be included in the programme.
The concert is on Monday December 30 at 12.30pm, tickets are £5 on the door.
