WOULD-BE thieves left empty handed after attempting to steal the ATM machine at a supermarket in Sedbergh, police said.
Cameras of the Spar were smashed and the stone below the machine was destroyed sometime between 11.30pm and 11.45pm yesterday (Wednesday).
Anyone with information is asked to call PC Neil Barrow on 101.
