A 40-mile loop of the Lake District has been voted Britain’s Best Ride 2013 by readers of Cycling Plus magazine.
The Lake District Loop was plotted and nominated by Broughton Wheelers clubmates James Hodgson and Lindsay McCrae.
It was described in the magazine as a ‘tough and very lumpy cookie that takes in the beautiful Coniston Water and the immensely challenging Wrynose Pass’.
