SOUTH Lakes MP Tim Farron joined volunteers to bag pack at Booths in Windermere to raise funds for St John’s Hospice.
The shift at the checkout followed a day working with volunteers in the hospice's shop in Kendal to clean furniture to make it ready for sale.
St John's Hospice has nine charity shops in the area , raising vital income for the hospice and a presence in the community which supports it.
Mr Farron said “It was great to join the volunteers and raise funds for the hospice. It offers amazing care of the highest quality. I regularly lobby Government ministers to do more to support hospices and I was pleased to do my bit in the Christmas season."
