AN EDEN village chip shop has been burgled, say Cumbria Police.
Officers said the chip shop at Brough had been burgled in the early hours of the morning on December 29.
Police are keen to speak to a male, who was seen in the area at the time. He was described as being slim, wearing a baggy woollen hat, with jeans and dark trainers.
Officers are also appealing for information after items were stolen from two cars in the village on the same night.
Anyone with information is asked to call PCs Fairweather or Airey on 101.
