A HOLIDAY park company is using traditional skills to preserve the natural look and feel of its sites around Morecambe Bay.
Holgates is managing and maintaining the naturally occurring grasslands, planting thousands of native meadow flowers, native plants, trees and shrubs.
Staff are doing this by steering away from modern methods and instead, hedge layers, dry stone wallers, woodsmen and coppicers are being used to ensure the parks are sympathetic to the landscape in which they sit.
Owner Michael Holgate said: “We take great pride in working with habitat specialists and local conservationists to create and maintain habitats that encourage and nurture plant and animal life.”
