A LINDALE pub has undergone a £62,000 revamp to ‘restore it to its former splendour’.
The Royal Oak has been improved both internally and externally, after a joint investment from Robinson’s Brewery and licensee Nick Kirkpatrick, who took over the pub four years ago.
The exterior now boasts a new colour scheme with traditional hand-painted signage, lighting and landscaping, while the interior has been repainted and a new stove, mantel and cast iron fireplace installed.
“The revamp has transformed The Royal Oak and it really looks fantastic,” said Mr Kirkpatrick. “We have log burners and roaring fires for the first time.
“It truly matches the idea of what a faithful country pub should look and feel like.”
