EDEN estate agents Penrith Farmers and Kidd is paying out a special dividend of £318,233 to shareholders after seeing a turnover and profits rise.
The board approved the payment of £1 a share in addition to a final dividend of 30p, the same as the previous year.
Chairman Robert Good said the company's cash reserves of £700,000 were producing a very low return.
