PARENTS and carers with children starting school in September 2014 have until next Wednesday (January 15) to ensure they return their applications.
Cumbria County Council is taking applications for children born between September 1 2009 and August 31 2010 who will be starting in the Reception year group.
A spokesman said that it is vital applications are submitted by the deadline as afterwards there is less chance of the child getting a place at the parents’ or carers’ preferred school.
To apply online or download the application form visit www.cumbria.gov.uk/schooladmissions. Hard copies of the form are also available from schools or the county council’s schools admissions and appeals team who can also provide support to those applying for a school place.
